I tried again and was told the same thing. I then created a new thread for my question. I have since noticed that my original two posts to this thread were added, even though it said it failed both times. This was originally the 2nd post.

Compatibility issues with IE 8 and Intersoft WebUI Studio 2013

I am facing similar issues. I am currently testing the solution given above, but one issue still exists.

When setting the doctype to HTML4 and the WebGrid RenderingMode to Quirks, the height of the grid does not remain static. Intead, as the number of rows in the grid change, the height of the grid changes with it. If there are 0 rows, the status bar moves right under the header/filter row. If there are 100 rows, then the height of the grid extends past what was set for the grid height in markup. Can you please let me know how I can workaround this issue?

Compatibility issues with IE 8 and Intersoft WebUI Studio 2013

Hello,

Like I said in my prior post, if you use Intersoft control, for example WebGrid, in Internet Explorer 8, you should use HTML4 Doctype the set the “RenderingMode” property value to “Quirks”.

If you want to use WebGrid in Internet Explorer 11, you should use HTML5 Doctype the set the “RenderingMode” property value to “HTML5”.

So I suggest you to make two different WebGrid page, the first one use HTML4 and the other one use HTML5 doctype, because by default, HTML4 and HTML5 have different behavior indeed.

Thank you.

Regards,
Hans K.

Compatibility issues with IE 8 and Intersoft WebUI Studio 2013

but we need a solution for ie 11 to ie 8 users without the compatibility mode.

Compatibility issues with IE 8 and Intersoft WebUI Studio 2013

Hello,

Thank you for the question regarding Intersoft product.

Basically, the current Intersoft live demo is using HTML5 doctype and by default, Internet Explorer 8 doesn’t support HTML5 doctype.

If you want to use Intersoft control in Internet Explorer 8, please try to use HTML4 then set the ‘RenderingMode’ property to ‘Quirks’.

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.

Regards,
Hans K.

Compatibility issues with IE 8 and Intersoft WebUI Studio 2013

Hello, we have big compatiblity problems with Internet Explorer 8 after upgrading to WebUIStudio 2013.
