The ClientSide method should be no effect on the connection issue I recall.</p> <p>I will try to investigate more futher regarding this issue. I will let you know if I get similar issue like you experienced.</p> <p>Thank you and have a nice day.</p> <p>Regards,</p> <p>Niven.</p>http://www.intersoftsolutions.com/Community/WebGrid/ColumnSortingIssue/Thu, 02 Dec 2010 09:24:00 GMTtariq@buyagift.co.ukWebGrid Enterprisewindows 2003Visual Studio 2005<p>Hi there,<br />We are running a website on Windows 2003 Server with French France (fr-FR) culture and having a strange problem while sorting Grid Columns, the details of the problem are as follows,</p> <p><br />On clicking any sort-able column the attached popup appeared saying “Unable to communicate with server.”<br />Most of the time we got the same popup but some times (in very rear cases) it sorts the values correctly. <br />Furthermore we tested the same thing on Windows 2008 Server with English UK (en-GB) culture and the same code run there perfectly.</p> <p>We also used a client side function on OnColumnSort it is doing nothing but just changing some text in an HTML control</p> <p>Furthermore, we observed that Intersoft JavaScript send a postback using the flyPostBackManager but the server failed to deliver the appropriate sorted XML and we get an error popup instead.</p> <p>We need to fix this soon, kindly help</p> <p>Thanks<br /></p>
