John, the "select box" issue was a bug in IE6, since it's still using "windowed control" and hence will always be displayed on the top of "html elements" such as div and others.

A popular workaround is by "hiding" the html select box when the WebNotification popped up, and "show" it back when the notification closed. I think this can be done since WebNotification has OnShow and OnClosed client side events that you can intercept.

A more elegant approach would be using a customized combobox control such as WebCombo.

What's the IE version that you used to reproduce the problem?

AFAIK, the issue no longer occurred in IE7 .

Hi,

I know this is a IE problem only but was wondering if there may be a solution. I am using a webNotifcation and when it popups up, if it pops up over a standard html select box, the select box appears over the notifcation box. I know it's the z-order but I have tried some of the work arounds found on the web but they don't seem to work.

Any ideas?
