A multiple column WebCombo is added to my test page. The WebCombo is bind to Customers table of Northwind.mdb database. It has “ContactName”, “Country”, and “City” column. The AdditionalSearchFields property is set to “City, Country”.

I was unable to reproduce the issue using my test page. When I type “g” on WebCombo’s textbox, WebCombo search and display data that contains “g” character in “City”, “Country” and “ContactName” column, such as Graz (City), Germany (Country), and Giovanni Rovelli (ContactName) and etc.

I’m using WebCombo.NET 4.0 build 232 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 build 767. Please let me know if there is any information that I miss during my attempt to replicate the issue.

WebCombo.NET 4.0 AdditionalSearchFields

Hi,

I've recently attempted to use WebCombo.NET 4.0's AdditionalSearchFields but it doesn't appear to be functioning correctly within my web application.

I currently have several WebCombo's bound to a datasource, and the dropdowns show 4 different fields and their values. If I add one additional search field, it seems to work OK in most cases. Occasionally, it will take a few refreshes/restarts to get the change to stick (could this be a cache issue?). However, if I add more additional fields, then the search capabilities stop working altogether - even those that worked before I added the additional fields.

I've added the fields in the AdditionalSearchFields property within Visual Studio 2010 in this format (if it matters): "Field1, Field2, Field3" (without the quotes). The data type of the field does not seem to make any difference.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I'd really like to have this feature working properly since it would greatly improve my application's ease of use.

Matt
