Webgrid 10, Win 7, IE 11 header alignment issue

Dear All,

I detected an issue with the grid alignment on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer. The width of the columns is different in the header and in the table body of the grid.

I used ColumnFilterWithWebValueList.aspx from the samples. I enabled sorting, ordering, deleting:

and didn't change anything else.

You can reproduce the issue with the following steps:

1. Enable ordering and filtering in a grid which has at least four columns, say A,B,C,D

2. Resize a column B so that it is shorter than its contents

3. Sort the grid by column A

4. To auto fit column B, double click on the separator between columns B and C so that the mouse pointer (pointer will be like this: <----->) is a little bit in column C :

Another thing to add: I see this issue sometimes, when I open a grid and don't touch the IE for an hour. When I come back (from a meeting, etc.), I see the same alignment issue with the grid.

I have found some explanations here in other threads that changing to IE8 compatible mode (Response.AddHeader("X-UA-Compatible", "IE=EmulateIE8"); ) could solve the problem, but this is not an option for us, because we use some other things (our development) which are not compatible with this setting.

Could you please investigate this?

JavaScript Runtime Error: Unable to get property '_ieEmuEventHandler' of undefined or null reference

I'm getting the attached error message in IE 11 when I browse to any page (with or without a Web Grid) from a page that contains a Web Grid. It also occurs if I close the browser window. This error does not occur in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browsers. I'm using Visual Studio 2015 on Windows 10 and Windows 7 computers. Have you seen this error before and can you offer any suggestions?

Hello Team, we have recentely moved out asp.net project from 2.0 to 4.0. but we are currently facing issue with <ISWebGrid:WebGrid >. webgrid is not properly rendering. it works only when we change the user agent string to Internet Explorer = 9 in the browser . i tried to add <!DOCTYPE HTML> <HTML> at the top and rendering mode = HTML5 in the grid control. even then also grid is not populating correctly. Please help me out. Thanks

WebCombo integrated with WebGrid on IE11

We are using WebCombo in out project integrated with WebGrid (Versions used: WebCombo 6.0.7200, WebGrid 9.0.7200). Everything works fine on Chrome and Firefox. The problem is with IE11. Whenever a webcombo is clicked, we get the JS error:

"Line: 1

Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'addRule'"

I've seen another similar thread in here and the solution was to adopt HTML5. Our page specifies HTML5 as its document type and the same is done with the rendering mode of each webcombo but the problem remains.

Any help would be appreciated.

WebGrid causing JavaScript errors in Telerik control

Hi,

We are in the process of replacing our old menu component by Telerik's RadMenu. During our testing we discovered that as soon as there is a WebGrid (also occurs with a WebTextEdotir) present on the page, we receive a lot of JavaScript errors from Telerik's event handlers. On pages where there is no WebGrid, we don't have those errors.

The errors are present in IE11, Firefox and Chrome, but not un IE versions prior to 11 (no errors in IE10, 9, etc). See the attached screenshots for an example of the errors we get. In this example, the ScriptResource.axd is "MicrosoftAjax.js". and the "e" parameter received correspond to the event argument expected by the event handler "g" in NavigationScripts.js, which "g" doesn't receive as the calling function in IE11.js (or IEMozBridge.js) doesn't specify any argument when calling it.

My undestanding from these errors and their stack traces is that the errors are caused by your legacy IE behavior emulation engines found in IE11.js and IEMozBridge.js.

How can we can a solution for this very serious issue, of your scripts files breaking other components ?

IE11 problems

Hi,

I have just upgraded to WebUI Studio 2014R2 for our old ASP.Net based system. All works fine except that when running from Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) all Intersoft components are rendered badly, and do not work fully. However if I force IE11 to run in compatibility mode everything works fine.
Is this a known problem? Is there a solution?
PS: We had the same problem in WebUI Studio 2009 except there it was also having problem in compatibility mode.

Webgrid 9 Fixed Height IE11

Seeing that I cannot get a response from Intersoft support, I'll post my issue here. Basically, I have recently upgraded to Webgrid 9 (9.0.7200.1) and WebUI Framework 3.0.5000. I have a number of fixed height Webgrids, which render correctly in the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, and IE10, but not in IE11. Under IE 11, the HTML of the grid renders as it does for all other browsers, however the client script which runs on page load detects the browser as "IE" and therefore runs client script which fails trying to set the height of dvTB_Webgrid1_, based on the height of the Webgrid1_of div. As you can see, I'm running under the HTML5 DOCTYPE and with RederingMode="HTML5".

Here's a little more detail:

My investigation reveals the following is the problem. Under RenderingMode="HTML5" Webgrid renders a series of nested DIVs, with the highest level one being Webgrid1_of. On page load, Webgrid runs through a series of client scripts to set up the grid layout. Among those is a function called AssignInitialHeight. AssignInitialHeight detects both IE10 and IE11 as “IE” (IS.ie==true) and sets forth to manually calculate the height of dvTB_Webgrid1_. Within this function, another function (WGUIEngine.OnGridResize) is called. Within OnGridResize, the function WGUIEngine.GetTableBodyHeight(b) is called with b=dvTB_Webgrid1_. GetTableBodyHeight looks to the style of the parent div of the Webgrid (Webgrid1_of), to get this height. On IE10, this returns the height value that was set when instantiating the WebGrid:

However, under IE11 the function returns NaN. Looking at the rendered HTML reveals why. . .

IE 11: <div id="WebGrid1_of" style="position:relative; ">

Interestingly, under Chrome and Firefox, the “Webgrid1_of” div renders as it does in IE11, but of course the client ssript does not detect these as “IE.”

It appears from the above that this may be a conflict between the server-side grid rendering and the client script. Under IE11, the server side renders the grid as it does for all other modern browsers. However, the client side script detects IE11 as “IE” and therefore runs IE-specific script, which fails.

WebGrid not working on IE11

Hi,

None of our Web Grids are working on IE11 without compatibility mode. When Compatibility mode is set on, it loads. We are using .NET Framework 4.0.

The application was developed in .NET Framework 2.0 and was later upgraded to 4.0. Below are the versions of ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid library

Runtime Version - v2.0.50727, Version - 6.0.7200.111

Pls. let us know what needs to be done to get the Web grids working.

IE11 and Firefox 25.0.1 DropDownList not show

I'm using the latest version of ISNet, WebCombo and HTML5, but unfortunately I have a problem with the action WebCombo in IE11 and Firefox 25.0.1. The problem is not showing a drop-down list. In other browsers as IE10, Chrome, Opera, everything works fine.
Please help in this matter.
