Delete row functionality does not appear to be work

i have code in the deleterow event to persist the changes back to the database.

althrough the row is removed from the grid the changes are not getting back to the database.

On investigation is appear that the rowstate property of the data row has not been changed.

i.e rowstate = no change where is should be marked as deleted.

(therefore not removed from the database)

if performing an edit the editrow event is firing and the rowstate is marked as changed.

and works as expected. the database is updated.

why is the rowstate not being marked up in the delete row event?

Am i looking at the wrong event.

Note this worked fine in webgrid 3.5.

can you direct me in the right direction if i'm looking in the wrong place.

Webgrid javascript error CellClickAction="CellSelect"

When i have the CellClickAction="CellSelect" on the webgrid control a javascript error is generated when a postback event is fire on another control.

this only happens when using the preview row setting PreviewRowVisible="true"

The scenaro is as follows

1) expand preview row

2) click button that fires postback evet.

3) javascript error before page load event fired.

In our application this is stopping the user nagivating to another page.

we can get around this issue by changing to "RowSelect"

but still...............

webGrid Vanishes on postback

We have a problem with the webgrid auto width size property causing problems.

when the auto size to true the grid is vanishing when a postback event is firing.

This is dependant on the initial column sizes in the grid and the size of the window in which the grid is being viewed.

I have created an example scenario that illustrates this issue.

scenario 1

1) browser window is open maximised. (do not maximise after load since the error is not generate in that scenario)

2) the total columns widths exceed the size of the window but they fit since autosize property is true

3) click the button that fires a postback event.

4) the grid vanishes.

scenario 2

1) browser window is open maximised.

2) the total columns widths exceed the size of the window but they fit since autosize property is true

3) resize the form

3) click the button that fires a postback event.

4) the displays fine.

This seems to be solely dependant on the intial size of the browser window when the form is loaded.

This is not just down to intial colum widths being to large to fit. adusting the intial widow size up or down seems to resolve the issue in some cases.

i.e if you resize the window before performing a postback event the grid does not vanish or reappears if it had disappeared.

please can you look into this problem and advise me of a solution.

the problem is happening live systems. we did not have this issue with webgrid 2

I am using webgrid version 7.0.7200.419 web application running on framework 3.5
