errors after installing sp1 2009

hi all

the problem began after installing sp1 2009 we got an error says :

1.'extensionattribute' is ambiguous in the namespace 'system.runtime.compilerservices'. internalxmlelper.vb

2. xelement is ambiguous in the namespace 'system.xml.linq'. internalxmlhelper.vb

what happend that the system.xml.linq.dll (v3.5) got overwrited by the system.xml.linq.dll in the aqua/bin folder .

the solve it just overwrite the system.xml.linq.dll in the aqua/bin folder with that from framework 3.5

still same problem with system.dll namesapce

Have you tried to create new ASP.NET application?

Also, does Intersoft Live samples that come with the installation package work? Can try both the Live Samples (executable) and C# Solution sample project.

Let me know which one work and which one not -- in details.

Yaniv, it's quite weird that your system references are affected. I don't think you need to reinstall .net framework 3.5 as the WebUI installation doesn't affect system and .net references.

I suggest you to clear the ASP.NET temporary files. You'll need to stop your IIS first before deleting the temporary files. Then rebuild your Visual Studio project.

In case it still didn't work, try to create a blank ASP.NET project and run a blank webform.

we dont use silverlight in out project .

i added system.xml

and now i got this error :

Yanic, is that error happening in your "Silverlight" project?

AFAIK, .NET references should have v3.5 version, not 2.0.5. Silverlight used 2.0.5 though.

we installed sp1 2009 on our computers and after it , we tried to compile our project and we get those errors :

1. Error 26 Reference required to assembly 'System.Xml, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e' containing the implemented interface 'System.Xml.IXmlLineInfo'. Add one to your project. InternalXmlHelper.vb
