Need Dropdown-Textbox combo for WebGrid Cell Editing

Please find the attached video (compressed as WebGridDesigner.zip). The video shows the activity on modifying Custom Editor node in WebGrid Designer. Everything worked smoothly and the designer window doesn't close.

The video is taken on a development PC with following configuration:

Operating sytem: Windows 8.1 64-bit.
Intersoft software version: Intersoft Premier Studio 2015 R1.
IDE: Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.
ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.Editor.Metro.dll (version 9.0.7200.4) is installed in GAC.

Please let me know the above information from your development PC so that I can assist you further.

Hi Thanks for the tip Yudi. I am trying to implement that option, but facing an odd situation - On choosing the Custom Editors node in the Designer, the window just closes. But other nodes are showing their props properly, just not the Custom Editor. It would be great if you could respond swiftly. Thanks a lot for your help!

Based on your description, you need to have custom editing control that will pop up (during editing) a dropdown list column (with Yes or No); and multiline textbox column.

Thanks to the CustomEditor open architecture of WebGrid which allows developers to use their own favorite editing control and "hook" it up into WebGrid easily. It is a set of client-side interfaces that need to be implemented by each custom editor in order for the interfacing with WebGrid.NET core editing architecture. These interfaces have been defined to be very flexible, extensible and modular.

Hi,

I am in need of a unique need. I've a webgrid in which the column is depicted with Images based on the status of it. So, When I am editing, I should be able to edit both columns - one is Yes or No that means a dropdown list is needed and another is a Text - Textbox.

While editing a cell in the webgrid, I need to get a pop up with two different options in that small form: Dropdown List and Text box with appropriate column descriptions as labels.

I've added a pic on the same. Please let me know if there are any chances for this. It's urgent. Thanks.
