Why not make the trial version a full version that disables itself after the trial period ends? Having a local-only trial version just seems inconvenient to the developer and the potential customer.

The ISDataSource and database are on the same virtual machine and I access the page from inside that virtual machine, not outside it. Everything is local.

Hi Jeff,

Is the ISDataSource and your project's Database located in Virtual Machine? Also where do you access the page from, is it from your Virtual Machine directly or laptop? If you access from your laptop then it means that you used the Virtual Machine as deployment which cause the ISDataSource cannot be use.

I use it on a development server. It's actually a virtual pc machine that I run from my laptop.

Hi Jeff,

May I know do you use ISDataSource at deployment or development server? Because the ISDataSource Trial version can only use at development server.

When trying to use the trial version of ISDataSource, I keep getting the error message, "ISDataSourceControl Trial version can only be used in localhost," but my SQL Server database is on the same machine as my website and my connection string refers to it as "localhost." Does anyone know how to make this work?
