However we can't say a lot for Android, but we will try help you as the best as we can if you are interested to use this method.

Please note that i'm suggesting you to put you MultiPage inside Main View, because it will be easier to maintain here is what i mean.

Also another thing you should note, Windows 10 incorporate Drawer in their design pattern, in the future there is a possibility you must revise your design if that is true

Hope that answer your question.

Best Regards
Arief

How to Use Crosslight to Combine Drawer, MultiPage, Advanced Master/Detail

Hi,

We understand that the Drawer is safe and we currently use that with an Advance Master/Detail view, since this was one of the available business templates when we started the project. However, most users don't want an extra menu click to get into another view. Or go back to the very start of the navigation history just to reach the hamburger menu. And clicking the menu, plus the animation delay causes productivity and is becoming an issue that we need to address. MultiPage or Tabbed navigation seems like a suitable solution to this issue, which we believe should be supported on all platforms, regardless of device type. However, if you're saying that a combination of these views is not possible... then we need to resort to something else, without using the drawer navigation.

The Advanced Master/Detail view is a crucial part of our business app, but we also need easier navigation without extra clicks and delays. The start and end time are recorded while using the app, which gives the clients ability to determine how much time a field operator was able to collect information. With added delays and few extra clicks... the productivity is affected. That being said, we welcome a better solution or workaround.
How to Use Crosslight to Combine Drawer, MultiPage, Advanced Master/Detail

Hi Jimmy,

After discussion with developer here some of our suggestion:

We suggest you to refrain using tab with master detail because alot of technical difficulty even if you code in native level, it will be a lot amount of work to handling the orientation and state management (change orientaton but doesn't changed tab).

Please note that icon inside Navigation List (left screen) is exclusively Apple only, in Android, WinRT, & WinPhone, Navigation Bar is owned by the Main View only (Right Screen) . Thats means the navigation bar will comply with what you opened currently in main page, here what it will be looks like in the attachment (in winRT & winPhone it is usually in bottom with back button but generally it is the same things):

It will be more safe if you use the drawer icon (three line) as means for tab replacement/navigation

Another alternative is only use the Navigation List (Left Screen) as a means for navigations.

Hope that will answer your questions,

Best Regards,
Arief

How to Use Crosslight to Combine Drawer, MultiPage, Advanced Master/Detail

Hi,

In our effort of designing an app that delivers a good if not the best user experience possible, we have created an initial sketch or mockup that could improve its usability. Our design is based on the information architecture of our current app, being developed with Crosslight. The image below shows that this is a combination of the Drawer, MultiPage, and Advanced Master/Detail views. Basically... the Drawer view with the use of Hamburger menu, should only be used to navigate to views that are lightly being used (e.g. Profile, Settings, About, etc.). The first item on the navigation list would be the Main view, which should be loaded by the Drawer view once the user logs in. As you can see, the Main or the first item from the Drawer's navigation list is making use of a MultiPage view. And the first tab item from the MultiPage view contains an Advanced Master/Detail view.In short, the design uses a Drawer View that contains a MultiPage view item, and a MultiPage view that contains a tab item that is an Advanced Master/Detail view.

In theory, this should work without problems on iOS, Android, WinPhone, and WinRT; however, it is wise to ask for your confirmation before we journey into an unknown territory.

Please confirm. Thanks!
