Can you replicate the issue in a small working sample? For instance, take the example that Glenn sent, and adjust as necessary until it shows your problem.

Can you give me some idea for why on the first display the combo box is populated but the current value does not display in the combo box but it does in a text box next to it. When I close out the view and reopen it, the combo box is now populated. My bindings are correct or it would not display on the second try and the combo box is populated, I can drop it down and see the values it just doesn't display the current value. On a form with 10 combo boxes about 1/2 display the current value the first time but all of them display it the second time and all are populated the first time.

In my test such issue does not occur, the UXComboBox will have the correct SelectedValue when bound properly. Attached is the test page I am using for this scenario.

Has the issue been fixed that I see has been brought up numerous times in the forums. The UXComboBox is bound through xaml to the SelectedValue and when displaying the first time it doesn't display the value althought the box is populated and bound properly, If the record is closed and reopened it displays properly. I have some forms where half are displayed properly and half aren't some where all are displayed properly the first time and one where none are displayed. After the first time, all other records have the values displayed properly the first time when displayed. It is only the first record the first time.
