Any word on Silverlight 5 compatibility when using your Visual Studio templates? Aslo, is the current version of ClientUI now compatible with Silverlight 5? I haven't seen any hot fixes or updates.

Hello Charles,

I will let you know when it is available. You can simply upgarde to 6 version by simply changing the references to ClientUI6. It should work as expected without issue. If you still have trouble after upgrading, please feel free to let us know.

I'm currently a licensed user of version 5.xxx of ClientUI. I have not yet upgraded my project to the 6.x version. How simple is that to do? When I install 6.x does it create a new set of folders and leave the 5.x version intact? Do you have an automatic upgrade tool that changes the references in a project that uses the older version?

Please let me know when the Silverlight 5 issues are resolved. I will upgrade at that point. There's really no sense modifying my project twice.

What is the ClientUI version that you used? Due to our testing, we still have a minor issue while migrating to Silvelright 5. But don't worry, we are building assemblies to work completely in Silverlight 5. It would be available soon but only in latest ClientUI version. If you are still using the old version, perhaps you can consider to upgrade since we have a special promo in this month.

I have not ported my existing project over to Silverlight 5 yet. I was waiting for word on compatibility of the ClientUI components with Silverlight 5. I did try creating a new project using the existing ClientUI templates in Visual Studio. Even though I created the project as a Silverlight 5 project, the template still must have loaded only Silverlight 4 DLLs, because when I checked the origin of the references to the Silverlight DLLs, they were coming from the 4.0 installation.

So, one of the things I'd like to know is, once you have determined that the ClientUI components are compatible, will you then issue a hotfix to update your Visual Studio templates? Also, can you provide instructions on how to migrate a Silverlight 4 project using your components (created from a template originally) to Silverlight 5?

Right now, we are currently testing and ensuring if all of our products can run well in SL5 or not. But surely should not be a problem. When you running your existing project, does runtime in browser show SL 5? (righ click in browser and choose about).

When will ClientUI for Silverlight be updated (templates and DLLs) to support Silverlight 5? I have attempted to open one of the ClientUI Visual Studio templates and then create a Silverlight 5 project, but the templates continue to point to Silverlight 4 libraries. (System.Windows.Controls for Silverlight 4 for example)

Could you also provide insturctions - if it's possible and if the current ClientUI DLLs support this - to update an existing Silverlight 4 project that uses ClientUI components to Silverlight 5?
