Anyway, did you mean insert button to input a new data to grid ? Then we have to click save all changes button to save the changes to DB ?

Yes, I think in some situation (for some group of users) should be possiblity to use and click on Insert (or Add) button to execution of an action. Auto insert, when change focus, should be disable at this moment.

Is it possible to add combination Shift+Enter (like in WebGrid) also ?

Hello Andrzej,

The issue with disable batch update after you did editing, then navigate to another menu and get back to product menu has been known by our development team.

Anyway, did you mean insert button to input a new data to grid ? Then we have to click save all changes button to save the changes to DB ?

For method using enter key in ComboBox or checkBox, I have to discuss with the development team before provide any answer for you.

I know 2-method to insert new row in UXGrid:

1. by using Tab button on keyboard

2. change focus from new row to other element (list of header or any other element outside UXGrid)

That method can cause serious consequences when Click on button which navigate to another page for example. Your new record will be added without your accept. I know we can use sandbox to isolate data but UXGrid don't know what were the intentions of the user (add or cancel operation).

Base on your example Intersoft ClientUI MVVM Data Application (DevForce), try it:

- go to Product

- click on new row and write ProductName="abc" and Category="Beverages"

- next click on Home

- and back again to Product -what you see : new added row

In some kind of situation we can use Enter key also, but under satisfied conditions:

last column shouldn't be combobox or checkbox.

It would be nice to see insert button in new row. (reject or cancel button too) and properties to disable autoadded function decribed above.
