WebScheduler development team has managed to fix this issue. I also have tested the pre-release hotfix on my end and found that the issue is no longer persisted.

We’re going to release Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 and hotfixes in a week or two. The hotfix file of work item #567 will be included in the release time. Should you need the hotfix in a shorter time (before the release), please let us know. We’ll arrange to send you the pre-release one.

Please let me know your response.

Can you please update me on the progress we are achieving on the above issue?

I cannot upgrade to R2 because of the above issue.

Is it possible for you to let me know the exact date when it will be solved.

Sorry for the late respond.

I’ve managed to download the sample you gave me. I also made some test to determine whether this is a bug or something else. The result of the test is that this is confirmed as a bug.

A work item, work item #567, has been submitted to WebScheduler development team regarding this issue. I’ll keep you updated with any news or information I heard from the team regarding this work item.

I was unable to download the demo from the url you gave. Opening the link shows “That item seems to be missing; Someone may have deleted or moved the item, or you may not have permission to view it. If you have questions about this item, contact the person who created it.” (Screenshot attached).

So, I followed your scenario carefully and tested it using ‘TimelineDataEditing.aspx’ reference sample file in WebSchedulerSamples project. Below is the step-by-step that I did during my attempt to repro your issue.

Open WebSchedulerSamples project (start > All Programs > Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 > WebUI Studio for ASP.NET > WebScheduler 3 > C# Sample (Visual Studio 2008 Solution).
In Visual Studio 'Solution Explorer', right-click on TimelineDataEditing.aspx' sample file and select 'View in Browser' from context menu.
After the sample shown in browser, move the calendar to 'Januari 2010'.
Click the 'zoom out' button to change the view to 'Timeline - Quarter 1 2010'.
Click on 'Friday, January 15, 2010', and select 'Detail' from the CallOut menu.
On WebScheduler DataEditing form, fill in the 'Subject' field; 'Location' field; set 'Start time' to 'January 15, 2010'; 'End time' to 'February 15, 2010'; fill in the 'Importance' and 'Categories' field as well.
Click 'Save and Close' button.
Drag and drop the newly created event to 'January 30, 2010'.
The event will now have 'End time' in 'March 2, 2010'

I was unable to repro the issue on my end. Could you please let me know if there are any steps that I missed?

Hi,

I have found this bug in WebScheduler. If an Event has a period between 15/01/2010 and 15/02/2010, If you move this event to 20/01/10 the new start and end date I get on the server side 20/01/2010 and 31/01/2010 respectively. It doesnt calculate the right period based on the original start date and end date. The same happens when you move the event from one resource to another resourse.

It works fine if the event doesnt span more than 30 days.
