&lt;p&gt;For temporary workarounds, I suggest you to use properties instead of the designer. Just click WebGrid at design mode, press F4, you can try to navigate based on the properties window pane at the right.&lt;/p&gt;

I find it quite convenient to create JavaScript handlers automatically using the designer (Layout Settings/ClientSideEvents -&amp;gt; Add New Handler). However, after adding one handler I cannot add other handlers (exception occurs) and have to close the designer. When I open the designer again, the new handler assignment was not saved. This way I have to open the designer for each handler I want to create and then open it one more time to assign all handlers. Would be much nicer to make it in one go.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
