I was able to reproduce the issue and have forwarded this to WebGrid development team. The problematic behavior is submitted under work item #1194.

I’ll keep you updated with any news I heard from the team regarding work item #1194.

Attached is a screen shot of the error and the actual pages from the samples that show the error. Also make sure you are using .803 of the framework and .533 of the grid.

Hi John,

I couldn't replicate your issue in our local end. I use IE7 browser to test your issue here. After edit LayoutSettings, when i run in IE7, the preview row still expand and doesn't show any error message.

I also attach my screenshot and my code here. Is there something I missed in my code below?

Using VS2008 and .net 3.5 the following problem occurs.

Using the VB Samples that came with R2 SP1, modify the layout settings for the webgrid in the PreviewRowDisplay.aspx. Add the following attribute to LayOut settings: CellClickAction="CellSelect".

View this page in browser (IE7) or Firefox 10.x. Click on the PreviewRow icon. In both cases get a Type Mismatch error.

I need the CellClick Action to allow users to select a filter to filter with right click.
