Hello Steve,

I'm afraid it's not possible to do that because we have used totally different Framework in WebGrid 7. We have implemented quite breakthrough enhancements in the latest control such as using SmartWebResources which is not available yet in WebGrid 4.

Hi Martin,

would be possible to upgrade to an earlier version of webgrid say 5 or 6? then later from there to webgrid 7?

Hello,

It is quite troublesome if you want to upgrade your application from WebGrid 4 to WebGrid 7. We have made a lot of enhancements in the latest WebGrid 7 and I'm afraid the structure and Framework are different compared to the old WebGrid 4. We have used WebUI Framework version 3 with ASP.NET 4.0. Therefore, I'm afraid it is not possible to upgrade your application from WebGrid 4 to WebGrid 7.

It is recommended that you create a new application project using our latest WebGrid 7.

Hello,

I'm new to using webgrid, but I have an application that was written webgrid v4 (ms vis 2005) that need to be upgraded to webgrid 7 (ms vis 2010). Is it possible?

I've tried running some of the files in ms vis 2010 and running into alot of these types of errors:

Parser Error

Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid, Version=4.0.6200.14, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3e60b85fb8502d5e' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
