Hi Madhavan,

All the things that might change the language is the one that I mentioned above. The problem is, still I cannot replicate the issue. Could you kindly send me a simple running sample that replicate the language issue for me to investigate it furthermore?

Hi Andi,

I explicitly added the below tag in web.config file, but still the grid showing Chinese language.

Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture returns "zh-CN" and Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture returns "en-US" in the application. Which culture the web grid is using for showing the language.

After removing the TextSettings="useCulture" from the grid, language is displaying in English. But I need resolution without removing Text settings. If any other application is running with Chinese culture will affect the current application?

Please help to resolve this issue.

Hi Madhavan,

For your information, the language of the WebGrid does not depend on what is the language settings of the server. The WebGrid's language will depend on what we had while we deploy the WebGrid. If we set the language to French and deploy it to Os with Chinese language setting, the language will stay with France.

The Use Culture of text settings means the control will pick the language based on the specified Culture in WebGrid level or Thread level. When the language file cannot be found, it will fall back to use the default language file.

Hi Andi,

one question to clarify.

Suppose say if the APplication is deployed in a server which is having US language settings.

We are accessing from client machine which is having different language settings say french will the grid show in English or french.

Can you tell the functionality of grid on how it behaves with TextSettings="useCulture"

Hi Madhavan,

It is weird, if you do not change any language, it would not be changing into Chinese language. Could you ensure that, in the WebGrid Designer->Localization Manager, the language is not being set to any other language. I also attached a screenshot for you as well. If this is still not helping, could you send me a simple running sample that replicate the issue?

Hi ALL,

One of our client reported this issue that they see they noticed traditional Chinese characters in some pages whereever intersoft grid is there even though they have set united states in the server.

Please find the attahced document.

Please advice what could be the reason.

Note: we are using TextSettings=UseCulture in the grid.
