Hello,

It’s good to know that the ‘RenderingMode’ property have resolved the extra column rendering issue.

Regarding ‘Custom Aggregate with ClientBinding’ issue, we have forwarded the issue to the developer team, under Work Item [ASPNET-127].

The hotfix for the reported problem in this thread will be available in September hotfix which will be available in the last week of this month.

Thank you for the response! HTML5 rendering mode resolved the issue with the extra column.

In order for the totals to display, I had to switch to ServerBinding and use a custom aggregate. Reason: The group footer totals display and then reset to zero with ClientBinding. Also, a javascript error occurred with ClientBinding and a custom aggregate.

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.

Due to I can’t run your WebGrid page on my end, I tried to modify one of WebGrid Samples, ClientBinding_VirtualGroupPaging.aspx page.
I modified the WebGrid’s configuration in that page, so that similar with your current WebGrid’s configuration.

I use HTML5 doctype & set the ‘RenderingMode’ property to ‘HTML5’ in this page.

Then I run the modified page in Internet Explorer 11.
But unfortunately, I didn’t get any issue like yours.

I attached the modified page & the video regarding how I try to attempt your issue.
Please kindly have review on the attached files and please let me know if there is a missing step or configuration while trying to attempt your issue.

Please forgive me for lack of understanding about the reported problem.

I created the attached form with a webgrid (version 8).

The datasource is set in the page code behind in the Webgrid's initializedatasource event. The grid returns over 13,000 rows of data that are initially grouped with aggregated totals. I chose to use Client Binding because the performance is so much better. However, the following problems happen when Client Binding is used:

- The group totals appear and then disappear

- When the columns are "ungrouped" all of the data in the grid shifts to the right and the first data column is a new, empty column.

These issues don't occur when the client binding option is removed.

I have tried a multitude of options recommended in the documentation and in the forum but can't seem to find a combination of settings that offers great performance, proper layout when ungrouped, and group totals that are always displayed.
