Could you please provide detail information how to reproduce the problem?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;i start up visual studio with an intersoft web project.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;in the Default.aspx i drag a WebDesktop&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I open the wizard for the WebDesktop&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;select the Layouts tab&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;within pre-defined layouts - i select any of them&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;i hit preview and the dialog box with the error message is shown&lt;br /&gt;"object reference not set to an instance error"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;after acknowledging the dialog box there is a message&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;404 Not Found&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;within the preview pane&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
