Does Intersoft Solutions provide support Quick Test Professional for Automation Testing?

Hi Abhey,

Can you tell me what workarounds did you use to test intersoft webgrid?

Currently, our application is using textbox, drop down and right click menu in this webgrid.
QTP is not able to work correctly with any of them.

Hi,

As far I know, our control does not support for UI automation and AT general. We ever tested in QTP which does not work well. Also, currently we don't have any plan to make the automate testing for our products. Perhaps, you can help us by providing this information more specifics. I can forward to our developer and they will see if there is a possiblity to implement this.

we are using an intersoft control and want to support assistive technology such as screen readers

even setting automationproperties.name doesnt seem to make anything visible to the reader we are

using NVDA can you tell me about your solution?

Hi Alex,

I'm apologize to make you wait for a long time.

Based on the information I got regarding this, I'm sorry to say that our controls still not support for QTP. We're not applied any auomate testing controls add-ins. Also, currently we haven't any plan to make the automate testing for our products.

Hello Julia,

Actually QTP is not able to recognise the objects that are made up of Intersoft controls. For example a web combob box is recognised as WebEdit with a strange name having dynamic numbers as the name. Every time a new name is generated, after recording the application while play back the same object is not recognised.

So Does your answer means that there is no support for automation testing of the application using QTP(Quick Test Professional) tool?
