Were you able to resolve this issue? I am having the same issue. Now when I set the Enable32BitApplications setting = True, it works but who wants to run 32 bit stuff on a 64 bit machine right?

I also have this error: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt

and I was able to fix it by setting Enable 32-Bit Applications=True but my question is WHY? Why do I have to run this in 32 bit mode on a 64 bit machine? Doesn't make sense...besides it is much slower than it should be. Please assist.

For the time being, we have to use the x32 OS. Because we have to deliver the machine by Friday. So I guess we can't use the machine for testing. But we will sure to let you know when we're testing on the x64 OS.

Okay.. this is a real troublesome. As you can see at the top of the page that I suggest the answer for this problem. And now I'm trying to deploy my project again on the same OS, but on the different machine. And the it goes, the problem appears again. The browser showing a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" message.

And so I re-installed the OS, update the component to last version, and tried to deploy the project again. And now it gives me a different error message, "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt". I'm realy confused now. Anyone got a solutuon for this issue? Thank you very much.

I am having problems even installing the WebUI Suite on a Server 2008 R1 Box (64 bit). I have tried all types of boxes, and have the same problem everywhere: It tells me the ASP.NET Framework isn't installed and that v2.0 or higher is required.

I definitely have it installed -- but can't get past this

Hi,

The issue is solved already. I forgot to tell you that my project didn' t use Smart Web Rescources. So there are no xxx.WebUI.Resources.dll file on my bin folder. Actualy it works fine when I deployed my project on Windows Server 2003 x86. And it seems it doesn't work the same way on Windows Server 2003 x64.

So I coppied the xxx.WebUI.Resources.dll files to my bin folder. And it works fine, even I didn't have to do all the steps (run 32 bit applicaton on 64 bit machines) I mentioned before.

So it's done. Thanks for all the help.

What I meant in the earlier post is the ASP .NET tabs is still not shown event after installing the ASP .NET manually, however my poject will run after the installation.

The 2 article you provided is quite spot on regarding this issue. It seems there is an issue in running IIS in 32 bit mode in 64 bit OS. Articles I found during my research regarding this issue also share the same sentiment.

If you would like to change the project's .NET Framework version, you will need to use the command line tool under this scenario, this article < ASP.NET Tab is missing in the IIS MMC in the web server running Windows XP Pro x64 Edition with .NET Framework 2.0 (WOW64) >, has detaild the steps.

Hi,

We start to deploy our application to production serwer ( Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64) and every time when try open page with any Intersoft control's (it could be single WebButton only) we receive error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

So, I do the following:

1) I prepare test application with two pages: one with standard .Net control only , second with WebButton control only.

2) after compilation (net 2.0) I deploy it to production server (I remember about: check dll's (all from WebStudio 2009 R1) in bin folder, set runtime licence in webconfig)

3) register app on IIS and start it.

4) the first page is working fine, the second show error.

5) I take my test app. to other server Windows Server 2003 Enterprise and two pages working fine.

It's not our first deploy, we have our working applications on many other machines but this ver of OS is the first.

Yesterday, I fight all day with this issue and I fall in battle.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.
