Yes, we agree about Nuget providing great developer experience for updates. Good news, the Nuget distribution for Crosslight is planned for the upcoming release. We'll soon update our roadmap page and include this feature along. Many thanks for your feedback!

Hi,

We understand that the item templates have been implemented, but moving on to the subject... how and when can we expect Crosslight to be available as a Nuget package? So far, this is the easiest way of updating libraries, especially when there are available updates or nightly builds. Updating the binaries manually is just a pain.

Hello Domingo, thank you for your valuable feedback.

The individual templates (a.k.a. project item templates) for Crosslight was already on our radar, however, we didn't manage to ship it in the release. We plan to include the Crosslight project item templates in June's service pack release.

Anytime. Please keep us posted. This is really something we are looking forward to, especially individual Crosslight templates for BindingProviders, ViewModels, ViewControllers, Fragments, Pages, Infrastractures, etc. We can't always rely on the Crosslight wizard when adding new files or projects.

Our development team will check the feasibility to implement this feature in the upcoming build/version of Crosslight. Currently, we still try to find the best way which works on various development environment - MS Windows and MacOS.

Hey Guys,

Is there any chance Intersoft takes advantage of the NuGet packaging system, especially on Crosslight? If not, is this something users can do? Come to think of it, you guys use Package folder when the projects get created, only to find out it's not really a NuGet package. Am not sure this violates anything in particular, or the license for that matter. As developers, we are looking into things to make development faster. We enjoy Crosslight and its promising features, it's really solid on that area - no doubt. But we have to say... it is not developer-friendly when it comes to useability. There are no individual templates, if you decide to add a new project or new file based on Crosslight. Upgrading libraries is not smooth, which consumes a considerable amount of time. So, we just thought this should be up for a discussion.

Any inputs on this?
