Unfortunately, we don't have save and layout settings yet. Would you mind to share with us what kind of settings that you would like to save?

The Visibility property binding is also not supported for now. It will be supported in the next version.

Hello Richard,

Certainly, the new version comes with comprehensive documentation that explains the new controls. It seems like your offline documentation wasn't refreshed. However, you can access the online documentation here.

For your questions:

The way to populate from database is similar to how populates from the XML. The key concept to master is actually the hierarchical data binding concept which you can learn here. To see the steps to implement the hierarchical data binding, see How-to: Bind Hierarchical Data to UXTreeView using HierarchicalDataTemplate (MVVM).
The Grid doesn't have built-in load and save layout, however, this can be easily written in few lines of code that loop the columns, and store specific settings, then save them to the database.

1) Do you have any sample code to populate treeview via database (the only example I can find uses xml) and documentation [the documentation with clientui5 seems to be still not updated from clientui3!!]?

2) Is the new grid able to save (load from) layout settings to say a database?

a) If not, when will this be available?

b) I have tried to (MVVM) bind the visibility property of a grid column to a viewmodel property but I get errors - do you have any code/advice here
