You can try to set the Dock property of the ExpanderButton to the left.

I enclosed one sample Expandable GroupBox that has its ExpanderButton located on the left side. The attached code is automatically generated when I edit the HeaderContainer template of the Expandable GroupBox control.

Isn't the expander button already in the right-side by default? Did you mean to put it to the left-side instead?
